PROJECT 1

Free Family Concert Nights/Open Mic Night
Every Saturday night from 6 - until whenever – wide variety of music, from Jazz and Bluegrass to Classical and Rock and Roll. Open mic for Karoke or whatever, group jam sessions - just come in and/or call if you want to join us!

PROJECT 2

Murals

We are planning on re-vamping an existing mural, downtown Coquille AND start a new mural. If you want to help with this project or give us a wall to paint - call!

PROJECT 3

Community choir and orchestra

We are planning on putting together a local choir and orchestra - the first concert to be held around Christmas. I would like to pull off Handel's Messiah this first year. Please call if you want to be a part of this. Practice will start in September. April 2019, we, (the Emmanuel Baptist Church, hosted) gathered as a community (over 50 participants from various fellowships and around town) to perform 2 nights of "The Passion". We plan to do so again next year. If you'd like to participate (please note below), please call Roberta.

4 MANDATORY successive nights (April 3-6, 2018):
- 2 rehearsals (5:30-8 pm, April 3 & 4)
- 2 performances – admission is free

Need: 21 men (with facial hair), 11 women, 5 children, crew 13

*Calling on the Communities around and in Coquille to participate in a Musical/Drama called “THE PASSION” held at Emanuel Baptist Church in Coquille. The Cast, Choir, and Crew of about 50 will present two performances, Friday and Saturday nights April 5th & 6th at 7:00PM. Nursery provided.

This live program depicts scenes from the last week of Jesus’ life, including a portrayal of the Leonardo da Vinci painting, “The Last Supper.” Meet the disciples. Hear the profound choir. Reach out and touch the Roman Soldiers. See Jesus as He carries His cross to Calvary. You don’t want to miss this moving and meaningful production.
