God's House of Vision/Art Gallery and Studio

Ray Pluta's (aka Cactus Moon) is a past, well-known sculptor (Genie of the Dunes, Las Vegas, silver and turquoise sculptures at the Favell Museum of Western Art), etc.    Anyway, Ray Pluta is 89 years old now, lives in Myrtle Point, OR, and only carves moose antlers now (into canes with eagle heads, etc.).

 

He comes into my Art Gallery frequently and I have in my shop: moose antler/eagle head, canes, and a turquoise sculpture of an Indian on a horse chasing a buffalo - each from one solid piece of turquoise, complete with rubies for eyes.   I also have (that was in his possession for 30+ years, a Bronze cast, Benin head - from about the 1600's, from Benin City, Nigeria.  He also has, in his possession, an unfinished ox/farmer/field clay sculpture, almost ready for bronze casting - the clay sculpture itself, is a work of art.
