Twana Gulseth
My name is Twana Gulseth, I’m 54. I am an artist currently working with acrylic pours and mixed mediums. My career started as an artist in 1986 when a instructor visited me at my home from Minneapolis, Minnesota Institute of Art. He told me I received a 98% accuracy and wanted to enroll me in the institute of arts, a home study for gifted people. What a privilege! I completed the art course and received a blue ribbon art award for the outstanding development in the achievement of artistic skills. I went on in life and painted many murals: 15x7 ft to 20x7. I’ve done a lot of projects on request. I used to compete every year at the Fair in Myrtle Point, Oregon. I received many blue ribbons in the advanced and professional class. Some of the paintings are in my gallery of arts. I’ve competed at our local Coos Bay Art Museum. I was selected in 2010 at the Expressions West show by Kevin Kadar. (Simply Charmed) was the name of the painting. I was a featured artist in the Pony Village Mall by Joann Fabric. That was probably a decade ago. I recently submitted 3 paintings to our Bennile Public hanging. I’ve became disabled the past 10 years and struggle with neurological disorders. I’ve really enjoyed the more relaxed way of presenting my artwork. Acryilc pours has been my medium for over a year. I’ve challenged many techniques and love the spontaneous outcome. I live in the Coos River Valley where I produce all my artwork. I hope you enjoy it!
Sincerely yours, Twana Gulseth.
